Happy Mother's Day
Mom, when I think of you, I think of your wisdom, kindness, temperance, and patience and wish I had more of those qualities. Although we don't see each other much anymore, I think of you often. As I get older and try to raise my own children as you raised me, I appreciate you more every year. And as your grandchildren enter their teenage years, I pray that they don't give me as much grief as I gave you, but if they do, I pray that I am able to be as strong and supportive as you were (and still are). Thank you for always being there for me.
Love,
Your son
And Happy Mother's Day to all the other mothers reading this too.

Scalpel..this was beautiful and I am sure she loved it. I'd frame it. Do something arty with it under glass and display it for all to see.
Knowing my sons remembered me that way, absorbed the lessons I taught and seeing them turn out well means more than all the money in the world.
I also think being a mother is the most important job a woman can have. I cherish being a mom and I just wish I could do it again. :)
And we have our 2nd grandbaby due next week -a girl. :) I am so glad I am younger than my grandparents so I can enjoy them way longer and maybe even get to be a great-great. :)
I haven't experienced complete empty nest yet because 20yr old still home... but when he leaves..that one will hit home. When 1st born son left..we got a German Shepherd puppy. :)
It's true Scalpel...we do appreciate our parents more as we get older.
Thanks for the Mother's day wishes. :)
Thank You Scalpel, your letter to your Mom was absolutley beautifull, and probably very true!! you are lucky to have a Mom like her!!! Stacy,
Your post is sweet. As my own kids head out into the world, I hope they will remember the things I tried to teach them. May God bless you and your mom.
