Maybe It's the Cat Pics
The genderanalyzer computes that there is an 81% chance that my blog is written by a woman. Another manly ER blog, MDOD, is surprisingly gender-neutral (even without cat pics).
UPDATE: Maybe if I eat some wasabi peas my blog will be as manly as GruntDoc's.
Or maybe I need to start posting about football.

Ha, ha, that's funny!
I think it's more than just your cat-blogging--you also do recipes, and you have written about pelvic exams. Other than doctors, most men don't write about pelvic exams. And you write about fibromyalgia. How many men write about that? You must be in tune with the female mind more than most men. Good on ya!
One thing kind of interesting about that tool--it only gets it right about 53% of the time, assuming people are telling it the truth when they record whether the guess was right or wrong. I entered about 5 or 6 medical blogs, and it only got 2 of them wrong, I think. Well, it also got mine (non-medical, female) wrong by a whopping 92%, but I've barely posted.
I wonder why it doesn't just go to the profile page and see if the blogger said male or female. Perhaps the authors of that code think that would be cheating. Or it could be they used that for training, which would make it a thing to avoid once you are in production.
When I read that, I actually burst out laughing.
