I still get several hits a day from newcomers searching for information on this topic and twice as many comments as any other post on my blog. Who knew that lingual nerve injuries were so common? Certainly not me.

My joke is that I'd rather get a pap then go to the dentist. Well...now it is I'd rather get 50 paps then go to the dentist.
Thank God for dentists but I still hate going.

I'm totally bummed. Before I clicked on your link, I figured it was a good story about injuring your tongue during a rousing bout of ...well anyway, I wasn't expecting a post about dentists! Oh, the horror!

Monkeygirl brings up another interesting question. If my hubby were to lose tongue sensation and function as a result of a dental injection, would I have grounds to sue for loss of certain conjugal ... y'know... ??? Totally bummed indeed.
