Chief complaint of the night
"Oh my GOD....Finally!" the old woman said as I entered the room. She'd only checked into triage 45 minutes ago, I recalled, and her chart said that she'd cut herself a few days ago. Yup, it was starting to get a little red. I wondered what her hurry was. Not another facelift, I hoped. It looked like she'd already maxed out on those. Was she late for her etiquette lesson, perhaps?
"My dog is in the car. I had no idea it would take this long."

Really? She waited all of 45mn?
Poor mutt must have been bored.
By the way, did you tell her not to worry, that dogs have no notion of time? :-)
The poor dog! I hope the weather wasn't too hot.
Sometimes there aren't enough villages for the idiots.

Once again proving that not everyone should be allowed to own a pet!
My all time favorite was the young woman who presented to the triage window and asked how long it would take because she had a job interview in twenty minutes. It's not unusual for them to come in all histrionic about some minor boo-boo but they can't wait the two minutes it takes for the registration clerk to call them up to the next desk.
That is funny!
